摘 要:近代通俗文学兴盛的原因,与出版的发达有着很大的关系。在西方关于中国文学史的书写方面,梅维恒与孙康宜、宇文所安编的文学史中,仅有很少一些章节涉及。欧洲的中文图书馆对于清代说唱文学的收藏也较晚。1949年后,西方学者很难研究到那些还活着的说唱文学。20世纪80年代以后,这种情况有所改观。苏州评弹、江永女书都得到了研究。作者本人也对孟姜女故事、江永女书故事集、闽南歌仔册作了不少的翻译。20世纪以来,西方的中国说唱文学研究形成了一定的规模。Chinese prosimetric and verse narrative in early modern China boasts strong relationship with the flourishing of publishing.However,few chapters cover the theme whether in Chinese literary history of western version or that written by Victor H.Mair,Kang-i Sun Chang and Stephen Owen.Libraries in Europe are late starters as to the collections of Chinese prosimetric and verse narrative in Qing Dynasty.Yet it was difficult for Western scholars to have access to the living Chinese prosimetric and verse narrative after 1949when PRC was founded.It was not until the 1980s that situation began to change for the better where Suzhou Pingtan and Jiangyong Nvshu enjoyed more researches.The author himself has translated the stories of Mengjiangnv,Jiangyong Nvshu,and Mingnanese Gezaice.The Western researches into the Chinese prosimetric and verse narrative has developed great scale since the 20th century.
