摘　　要：教师教学能力以知识和技能为基础,是教师之所以为教师的核心能力。从生态学上看,中学英语教师教学能力由英语教学认知、英语教学设计、英语教学操作、英语教学评价和英语教学研究等能力组成。这些能力相互依存和相互作用,共同促进中学英语教师整体教学能力的发展,教师自主发展是教师教学能力发展的内驱动力,对中学英语教师教学能力的发展起着决定性作用。Based on the knowledge and technology, teaching capacity is the core ability for those who want to be a teacher. Ecologically, the secondary English teacher＇s teaching capacities consist of cognitive ability, design ability, operation ability, evaluation ability and research ability concerning. Inter-depending and interacting, these abilities co-develop the secondary English teacher＇s whole teaching capacity. Taking the decisive part in the development of the teacher＇s ability, self-development is the inner-drive of the secondary English teacher＇s teaching capacity.
