摘　　要：校训体现了一所学校的精神,是高度提炼的文化文本。在国际化的今天,校训翻译不再是小事,它承担着宣传和跨文化交际的使命,因而译者需要对文本认真分析,可以从多个角度进行翻译尝试,以期得出合适的译文,达到外宣的目的。A school motto,as the highly refined culture text,symbolizes a school’s spirit.Against the backdrop of globalization,the translation of school mottos plays a vital role in school’s publicity and cross-cultural communication.For this purpose,the translator should analyze the source text and work out suitable translated text by employing various methods,to the purpose of publicity.
