王维《竹里馆》的不同理解与英译探析

摘　　要：王维的《竹里馆》虽然短小精悍,却展示了复杂的主题思想。对于这首诗的不同理解与英译,代表了对王维思想境界与诗歌创作的不同理解与阐释:一种观点认为,这首诗表现的是诗人悠然自得的心境,王维一生也是在顺境中度过的;另一种观点认为,这首诗展示的是诗人极端孤寂哀愁的心境,而王维一生是在官场的险恶环境中度过的,充满了孤独、寂寞和愤懑。无论从王维研究、翻译研究还是中国文化走出去的角度来看,对《竹里馆》的理解与英译进行梳理都具有重要的意义。As one of the many short poems written by Wang Wei, Zhu Li Guan is certainly multi-thematic, and its themes are not only rich but also complicated. Consequently, different interpretations of this short poem lead to different understandings of Wang Wei’s life, thoughts, and poetry. While some scholars hold that this poem depicts Wang Wei’s satisfaction with his happy and easy life, others point out that this poem indicates Wang Wei’s loneliness and discontent with his unhappy and dangerous life as an official. Summarizing the interpretations and English translations of this short poem is once necessary and realistic in that it enhances better understanding of Wang Wei, translation studies, and the internationalization of Chinese culture.
