摘  要:在英语教学中,常常出现对英语词义进行拓展的情况,一词多义在英文中也是随处可见,而隐喻是词汇变化及拓展的重要理论依据。教师引导学生学习词汇本身含义及隐喻含义的关系,促进学生在记忆单词时不再枯燥乏味、含义模糊,提升对记忆单词的兴趣,拓展发散性思维,加强对词汇的运用能力,减轻词汇记忆负担。本文对隐喻概念、意义进行深入了解,分析隐喻在英语中的重要影响,借助一些教学案例更好认识隐喻。In English teaching,it often appears to expand the meaning of words.Polysemy can be found everywhere in English.Metaphor is an important theoretical basis for the change and expansion of vocabulary.Teachers guide students to learn the relationship between the basic meanings and its metaphorical meanings,thus,help students memorize words more easily,enhance their interest,expand divergent thinking,strengthen their ability to use vocabulary,and reduce the burden of vocabulary memory.In this paper,the concepts and meanings of metaphor are thoroughly understood,and the important influence of metaphor in English is analyzed.With the help of some examples,metaphor can be better understood.
