A Study of the Factors Affecting Teachers'Teaching Beliefin the Context of College English Teaching Reform

摘  要:以陕西三所地方高校156名大学英语教师为研究对象,通过问卷调查的方式对教师教学信念的影响因素进行了研究。结果表明:在大学英语教学改革环境下,影响教师教学信念的自身因素主要包括教学反思、出国(境)访学或留学经历、教师自主、学历、性别;外界环境因素主要包括学校文化、教学对象、教学资源、大学英语教学改革、选用教材、教学评估、同事关系。研究结果对于大学英语教师更新传统教学信念以及学校创造良好的外部环境帮助教师建构大学英语教学改革要求的现代教学信念具有一定的启示意义。The questionnaires conducted on 156 college English teachers selected from three local universities in Shaanxi Province lead to the findings that,in the context of college English teaching reform,the internal factors affecting college English teachers'teaching belief mainly include reflective competence,pursuit of further studies abroad,teachers'autonomy,educational background and gender while the external factors chiefly embrace school culture,teaching subject,teaching resources,college English reform,teaching materials,teaching assessment and working relationship.The research result might help college English teachers think over how to renew their traditional teaching belief.It may also provide an insight for school administrators as to how to create a favorable external environment in order to help teachers construct their modern teaching belief required by college English teaching reform.
