当代美国私立女子高中课程设置个案研究——以波特女子高中为例

摘  要:女子高中是美国单性别教育的重要体现。私立女子高中由于开办历史较长且女性人才辈出而具有特殊社会地位,其课程设置集中体现了美国学校女性人才的培养理念。本文通过对波特女子高中课程理念、课程状况、课程实施等方面的分析,认为该校与时俱进,持续创新开发课程,发展跨学科课程,重视科学技术类课程,并积极营造促进女生发展的校园氛围,以致力于将女性培养成世界公民。该校教育成果斐然,曾被《美国新闻与世界报道》评为“全美第一女子寄宿高中”。All-girl high school is an important embodiment of single-sex education in the United States. Private girls’ high schools have a special social status due to their long history and the emergence of female talents. Its curriculum reflects the development concept of female talents in American schools. Based on the analysis of concept, status and implementation of curriculum in Miss Porter’s School, this paper holds that the school keeps pace with the times, continuously innovates and develops curriculum, develops interdisciplinary curriculum, emphasizes on science and technology courses, and actively creates atmosphere to promote the development of girls in the campus, so as to be dedicated to cultivating women into global citizens. The school has achieved remarkable results in education and was once named "the No.1 boarding all-girl high school in the states" by "U.S. News and World Report".
