摘　　要：自20世纪60年代信息加工理论提出以来,又出现了许多的阅读理论模式,尤其是近几十年来的语篇分析理论受到学界的更多关注。对国内外语篇研究的理论作出梳理,重申了英语阅读中语篇的衔接和连贯所起到的重要作用,强调在阅读过程中掌握英语语篇分析技能可以帮助学生对阅读文本的特点、题材以及内容更好地把握,同时通过结合英语的文化语境与文本语义来掌握阅读材料的内涵及意义,从而使学生在潜移默化的过程中实现能力的提升,并且增强学生对英语文本的分析能力和理解能力。Many reading models proceeded after Information-processing Theory was put forward in the 1960s.Especially in recent years,discourse analysis has attracted more attention in the research of reading comprehension.This article synthesizes related research home and abroad and reiterates the importance of coherence and cohesion in English reading.Besides,it also stresses that the mastery of discourse analysis helps a better understanding of text feature,theme and content in the process of reading.With the help of cultural context and text per se,students’reading competence will be improved inperceptibly after getting better command of connotation and meaning from the reading materials,and thus the competence for analysis and comprehension.
