隐喻视角下中医“十怪脉”英译对比研究

摘　　要：中医望闻问切的科学之中,脉诊最为复杂。其中“十怪脉”的命名含有大量的隐喻,体现着深厚的中国文化和中医智慧。此文基于隐喻视角,对“十怪脉”7个译本的英译进行对比分析,探讨“十怪脉”的翻译方法,提出建议译文,强调在不影响译语受众理解和接受的情况下应在译文中保留隐喻,此外,还应注意译文中连字符和词语顺序的问题,做到中医术语英译的规范化。Among the science of inspection,auscultation and olfaction,inquiry,as well as pulse taking and palpation in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),pulse taking is the most complicated.The naming of“ten strange pulses”contains a large number of metaphors,reflecting profound Chinese culture and medical visions.This paper conducts a comparative study of seven versions of the translation of the“ten strange pulses”from the metaphorical perspective,explores the methods in and proposes suggested versions of the translation of the“ten strange pulses”.It is suggested that metaphors should be preserved in the translation in condition that they do not affect the understanding and acceptance on the part of receivers in the target language.In addition,attention should be paid to the use of hyphens and word order in the translations,so as to standardize English translation of TCM terms.
