摘 要:根据桂明佳《六祖坛经》日译本的翻译方法、翻译策略、误译现象及产生原因,发现桂明佳译本灵活运用多种翻译方法,兼用异化和归化策略。在符合日语习惯表达的“语言层面”上呈现归化倾向,在传译禅宗文化内涵的“文化层面”上,则更多地使用异化策略。其译文误译的主要原因是对经文的误读和日语表达偏颇,对经文的精准解读和译文的正确表达,是佛禅典籍翻译的难点。This paper analyzes the translation methods, translation strategies, mistranslations and their causes in Gui Mingjia’s translation of The Sutra of Huineng from Chinese into Japanese. It is found that Gui Mingjia’s translation is flexible in using various translation methods with both strategies of foreignization and domestication.At the“language level”, which is in line with Japanese habitual expressions, it shows a tendency of domestication,while at the“cultural level”of interpreting the cultural connotations of Zen, foreignization is more often used. The main reasons for the mistranslation are the misreading of the sutra and the biased expressions in Japanese. The accurate interpretation of the sutra and the correct expression of the translation are the difficulties in the translation of Chinese Buddhist and Zen classics.
