摘 要:1引言当下,外语学科正处于新文科背景下转型发展的新阶段,面临着守正与创新的两大任务。服务国家发展战略、推进新文科建设,是创新发展的基本目标,而以守正、固本为导向的学科内涵建设,则是创新的基础。创新先守正,守正须固本。固本与创新应当兼顾,但就外语学科目前情况而言,重在固本,即加快完善学科内涵建设。无论是增强外语学科的人文学科意识,丰富外语学科的人文内涵建设,还是以学科交叉、融合为途径的创新发展,比较文学都有重要的学术启示意义,并在学术研究和教学中发挥重要作用。“Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies” has been defined as one of the five major research and teaching clusters within the discipline of foreign languages and literatures(FLL) in China, shaping more concrete disciplinary development in the wake of the New Liberal Arts Initiative. The studies of comparative literature highlights humanist spirit, global literary and cultural visions, interconnected thinking, inter-textual and interdisciplinary approaches, and intercultural consciousness. All of these are beneficial supplements to the traditional practice of the FLL discipline. To be more specific, the academic significance of comparative literature reflects in the following aspects: First, to consolidate the disciplinary foundation for FLL and seek new breakthroughs by encouraging humanist awareness, enriching global knowledge and enhancing academic framework. Second, to expand the scope and implications of FLL research and inspire university faculty to carry out research-based teaching with problem awareness and a truly cross-cultural mindset. Third, to prepare students for a profound knowledge of Chinese culture and outstanding intercultural communication skills.
