摘　　要：英格兰著名小说家查尔斯·狄更斯的自传体性质长篇小说David Copperfield(《大卫·科波菲尔》)中关于英格兰民族饮食文化的大量描写是英格兰民族性的突出体现。历经百余年汉译,译者囿于翻译目的和教育背景,均未完全再现原作的饮食文化。研究认为,了解英格兰饮食文化,能够更准确地传达原文的民族性。David Copperfield,the famous English novelist Charles Dickens’autobiographical novel,depicts the English food culture in great quantity,which is the embodiment of the English nationality.After more than 100 years of Chinese translation,the translator limited by the translation purpose and educational background has not fully demonstrated the English food culture of this novel.Understanding the English food culture can more accurately convey the English nationality of the text.
