摘  要:在初中英语教学中,教师往往对于提升学生思维品质重视不足或缺乏有效的教学方法。本文论述了思维品质在初中英语教学中的重要性,阐述了使用英语课堂辩论来提升学生思维品质的两类操作方法:深挖教材单元主题,开展课堂辩论;联系学生生活实际,开展论坛式辩论。本文对广大英语教师有一定参考价值,并启发他们进一步通过实践研究,探索更多样的教学路径,切实提升初中生的思维品质。There is always a deficiency of the attention to the enhancement of students’ thinking capacity in junior high English teaching or a lack of effective teaching methods on this field. This article focuses on the function of the debates on enhancing students’ thinking capacity in junior high English class. It firstly shows the effectiveness of debates indicated by former studies. Then based on the author’s teaching experience, it mainly depicts two practical methods of holding classroom debates, in order to enhance students’ thinking capacity. This article is expected to be an inspiration for English teachers to study and explore a variety of teaching methods to enhance students’ thinking capacity practically through teaching research.
