发展多元能力:以南京大学大学英语口语课程为例

摘　　要：在《大学英语教学指南》的引领下,发展多元能力已成为现在大学英语教育的目标和趋势。本文以南京大学大学英语口语课程的设计为例,探讨以发展学生多元能力为教学目标,以“翻转课堂”和“设计学习”为教学模式的口语课程设计及效果。研究结果表明,该课程深受学生喜爱,能够调动学生的积极性;课程不仅能提高学生英语口语水平,还能促进包括研究能力、跨学科能力、人际能力和个人素质在内的多元能力的发展。这一课程设计对具体的大学英语课程改革具有一定参考价值。As outlined in the Guidelines on College English Teaching,college English courses are expected to develop language skills and other competence as well.This paper reports a course design of College English Oral Course at Nanjing University,which adopts a combined teaching mode of“flipped classroom”and“learning by design”to cultivate students\multicompetence.The study showed that the course was satisfactory to most students for the opportunities it provided for students to practice English in the oral tasks,and that it could help cultivate multicompetence including oral English ability,research ability,interdisciplinary ability,interpersonal skills and overall personal quality.Pedagogically,this combined teaching mode serves as an exemplar for college English oral course design and sheds light on the current college English teaching reform in China.
