原型范畴理论对大学英语多义词教学的启示

摘  要:多义词教学是英语教学的重点和难点,文章运用原型范畴理论探讨其对大学多义词教学的启示,改变了传统多义词词汇教学观,主张多义词各个义项之间的联系是有理据性的。原型范畴理论给大学多义词教学带来了多方面的启示,教师要注重基本词义的讲解,引导学生发现词义之间的理据性,同时培养学生的词汇联想学习意识。The teaching of polysemy is the key and difficult point in English teaching. This paper uses prototype category theory to explore the enlightenment to the teaching of polysemy in universities, which changes the traditional view of polysemy vocabulary teaching, and advocates that the connection between the various senses of polysemy is reasonable. The prototype theory has brought many inspirations to the teaching of polysemy in universities. Teachers should pay attention to the explanation of basic word meanings, guide students to discover the motivation between word meanings, and cultivate students’ awareness of associative lexical learning.
