基于语料库的英汉形合、意合比较与翻译策略研究——以考研英语(二)2010—2022年真题为例

摘　　要：英语重形合、汉语重意合,这是英汉两种语言的显著差异之一。基于自建全国硕士研究生招生考试英语(二)英译汉真题小型平行语料库,借助Antconc、Wordsmith Tool和BFSU ParaConc等语料库专业检索软件对语料库中的数据进行检索统计分析,观察对比英汉两种语言之间的宏观差异,分析其产生的原因,提出英汉翻译的可行性策略。研究表明:(1)英语重形合、汉语重意合的假说是基本成立的;(2)英语和汉语在词汇层面和句法层面既有相似性,又有差异性;(3)形合与意合反映了英汉两种语言的思维差异。在英译汉的过程中,译者不应拘泥于原文的外在形式,需要根据具体的语境按照汉语的表达习惯再现原文的意思,以增强译文的可读性。English is hypotactic,while Chinese is paratactic,which is one of the distinct features between English and Chinese.The paper makes a corpus-based study on the differences between English and Chinese at macro-level,analyzing the possible reasons and putting forward feasible translation strategies for English-Chinese translation.The study shows that:1)the hypothesis that English is hypotactic while Chinese is paratactic is basically valid;2)there are both similarities and differences between English and Chinese at lexical and syntactic level;3)hypotaxis and parataxis suggest that there are differences in the thinking pattern between the two languages.In the process of English-Chinese translation,the translator should,without being confined to the form of the original text,reproduce the meaning of the original text according to the specific context and Chinese expression habits,so as to enhance the readability of the translation.
