法国文化中高贵/低贱的对立——从普鲁斯特到布迪厄

摘　　要：通过对《追忆似水年华》与《区分:判断力的社会批判》中隐喻手法的考察,我们发现这两部完全不同的作品都将高贵/低贱的对立作为核心的对立概念进行阐释。三种分别对应教士、贵族和资产阶级社会层级的摆脱低贱(腐朽)的方式,让我们在大革命发生后的一个多世纪的法国仍然可以辨识出旧制度下等级社会的轮廓。这反映的法国社会历久不变的思维方式和文化价值观体系。This paper makes a tentative exploration into the French cultural model of values in the light of the cognitive theories of metaphor through a detailed study on two masterpieces in literature and sociology:SWANN’S WAY Remembrance of Things Past and Distinction:A Social Critique of the Judgment of Taste.Both of them,in spite of fundamental differences,use metaphor to illustrate a common opposition between nobility and baseness.Three ways to fight against baseness,corresponding respectively to clergy,aristocracy and bourgeoisie,lead to identify in a France more than one century after the Revolution the trait of the society of order under Ancient Regime.This reflects the core cultural values,stable in time,of the French society.
