巴斯奈特理论视域下——《长夜漫漫路迢迢》两个中译本之比较研究

摘　　要：尤金·奥尼尔是西方现代戏剧之父,1936年诺贝尔文学奖得主。奥尼尔戏剧在我国有近百年的翻译史、研究史,但相关翻译实践层面的系统研究成果却较为少见。笔者研究发现,奥尼尔的戏剧观与巴斯奈特的翻译理论较为契合。《长夜漫漫路迢迢》戏剧性地展现了詹姆斯·帝龙、玛丽·帝龙和他们的两个儿子吉米、艾德蒙的个性及他们之间的关系,是最能体现奥尼尔传记剧作家特征的一部剧。本文从巴斯奈特翻译理论视角,结合奥尼尔戏剧语言的口语化、通俗化和音乐化三方面特征,对《长夜漫漫路迢迢》两个中译本进行对比研究,揭示欧阳修和乔志高两个译本的翻译特色,讨论相关翻译策略,以期引起译界对奥剧翻译的关注,推动戏剧翻译事业的高质量发展。Eugene O'Neill,as the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1936,is the father of modern western drama.There is almost one hundred years'translation and research history of O'Neill's masterpieces in China,but the related systematic studies on the translation practice are very limited.According to my study,O'Neill's theory on drama is in line with Bassnett's translation theory.And"Long Day's Journey Into Night"dramatically portrays the personalities and relationships of James Tyrone,Mary Tyrone,and their two sons,making it the most representative play of O'Neill's biographical works.Therefore,this paper develops a comparative study of the two Chinese versions of this play,which combines O'Neill's theatrical linguistic characteristics of colloquialism,popularization,and musicalization to reveal Ou Yangji and Qiao Zhigao's translation features.The purpose is to arouse attention to the field and promote the high-quality development of drama translation.
