隐喻识解视阈下的比喻性谚语翻译策略研究

摘　　要：从语言的社会功用看,谚语大体可分为以传授经验为出发点的谚语和以启迪人生或实施道德教育为依归的谚语两大类型。“打比喻”是人们说明事理最常用的方法之一,基于生活经验说明事理的比喻性谚语在谚语中占主导地位。翻译本质上是源语表达的意义在目的语中的再现。跨语言对比显示,不同语言社团的比喻性谚语语义结构是一种共性与个性并存的形态。鉴于传统语言研究对比喻性语言阐释的缺失及翻译研究中有关谚语翻译策略存在的经验主导和主观性太强的不足,文章以概念隐喻理论为框架,从识解角度对英汉比喻性谚语语义结构上的异同做出阐释,提出了比喻性谚语的翻译方法。From the perspective of the social function of language,proverbs can generally be divided into two main types:those that convey experience and those that inspire life or implement moral education.“Using metaphors”is one of the most common methods people use to explain things,and metaphorical proverbs,which are based on life experiences,dominate among proverbs.Translation is essentially the reproduction of the meaning expressed in the source language within the target language.Cross-linguistic comparisons reveal that the semantic structure of metaphorical proverbs in different linguistic communities is a form of coexistence between commonality and individuality.Given the lack of interpretation of metaphorical language in traditional language research and the issues of experience dominance and subjectivity in translation strategies for proverbs,this article uses conceptual metaphor theory as a framework to explain the similarities and differences in the semantic structure of metaphorical proverbs between English and Chinese from the perspective of comprehension and proposes a translation method for metaphorical proverbs.
