摘 要:本研究探讨了单语、双解词典中语义索引对EFL学习者的作用,以及高低层次EFL学习者的检索表现。通过实验证明,低年级EFL学习者比高年级检索速度慢,短期词典检索技能方面的训练不会使这一差距缩小;EFL学习者对有语义索引比对无语义索引的多义词词条的检索速度快;对语义索引提供译文有助于检索;有译文的语义索引对低年级比对高年级的学生帮助大。这些发现对于指导EFL学习者的词典使用、多义词条义项编排方式具有一定意义。The present research studies the effect of meaning access index (MAI) on EFL learners in monolingual and bilingualized dictionaries, and the dictionary search behaviors of different levels of EFL learners. An experiment was designed and proved that, in general, lower grade EFL students' dictionary search speed is slower than higher graders; entries with MAIs facilitate EFL learners' consultation more than those without; MAIs equipped with translation facilitate consultation more than those without; and MAIs with translation provide greater help for lower graders than for higher graders. These discoveries are significant for guiding EFL learners' dictionary consultation and the sense ordering of polysemous entries.
