摘　　要：在中国高等教育面临全球化和国际化的机遇与挑战之际 ,深化大学英语教学改革 ,加强实用性英语教学已经成为当务之急。通过总结 ,分析大学英语教学的不足 ,提出了应对全球化新形势 ,加强实用性应用型英语教学的见解与建议 。In the process of globalization and internationalization of higher education in China, which faces both opportunities and challenges, it has become imperative that university ELT be reformed and strengthened to be more practice oriented. Comments and suggestions are provided with analysis of the shortcomings of the prevalent system and the significance of multi medium interactive teaching and learning as well as cultural components is revealed.
