摘　　要：This article analyses, on the basis of the pathophysiological grounds of various syndromes treated with deep brain stimulation, whether there is a collective explanation of the mode of action of the applied regional stimulations with high frequencies (HFS). This proposed hypothesis assumes that HFS selectively releases GABA.
