摘　　要：主要从记忆的规律和第二语言习得理论角度对背诵在语言学习中的价值进行了论证,指出背诵对学习者语感的培养、词汇的积累及口语和写作能力的提高都大有裨益。文章最后得出有关背诵策略的启示。The role of recitation in college English learning is demonstrated from the aspects of the regulat.ions of memory and the second language acquisition theory. The recitation is beneficial to cultivation of learners＇ sense of language, accumulation of vocabulary and improvement of oral and written ability.
