方位词“UP”隐喻概念的对比研究

摘　　要：本文用实证方式研究了与本族语者水平较接近的中国学生如何使用方位词UP的空间概念和隐喻概念，并将之与本族语者的使用情况相对比，发现中国学生使用UP的总量较多，且在UP各类隐喻概念的使用上有明显的局限性，表明中国学生对UP的语义掌握不足。本文还从语料输入角度对UP一词的习得情况做出解释，并提出了改进的建议。This essay examines how advanced Chinese learners of English use the word UP in both its spatial and metaphorical conceptions. Corpus evidences indicate that UP has obvious limitations in its metaphorical diversity as well as being overused in Chinese learners＇ interlanguage, a proof that Chinese learners have an inadequate command of the semantics of UP. This essay also offers input-related explanations and suggestions for the acquisition of the word UP.
