摘 要:通过定量与定性相结合的方法对大学英语专业三年级学生二语写作元认知策略的调查表明:1.英语专业高年级学生经常使用自我监控策略、自我评价策略和自我管理策略,很少使用目标计划策略;2.元认知策略与作文成绩相关性不高,元认知策略对作文成绩不具有显著的预测能力;3.高分组和低分组在自我管理策略上有显著差异。This paper examines metacognitive strategies employed by Chinese third year English majors m their L2 Writing through quantitative and qualitative research. The study finds that firstly, the English majors frequently use self-monitoring strategies, self-evaluation strategies and self-management strategies, but occasionally use plan strategies; secondly, metacognitive strategies have no significant correlation with writing outcome, and they do not have significant predicting power to writing achievement; self-management strategies can significantly distinguish the successful and unsuccessful groups.
