摘 要:传统的隐喻理论认为,隐喻是语言的异体表达方式,隐喻翻译是以修辞为取向的。认知语言学的概念隐喻理论认为,隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,更是人们借助已知事物认识未知事物的普遍性思维方式和认知手段;隐喻翻译是一种认知活动,应以认知为取向。在翻译过程中译者应从认知的角度分析隐喻产生的心理基础及其隐含的文化信息,并据此确定相应的归化和异化翻译策略,向目的语读者准确完整地传达原语文本信息。According to traditional metaphor theory,metaphor is an abnormal language expression and metaphor translation should he rhetoric-oriented, while conceptual metaphor theory holds that metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon but also a general thinking mode as well as a means of cognition by which people know the unknown via the known and metaphor translation is a cognitive activity and should be cognition-oriented. While translating the metaphorical expressions, the translator should analyze the psychological and cultural factors based on which a metaphor arises and employ the necessary translation strategies accordingly to precisely and fully convey to the target reader information conveyed in the source text.
