摘　　要：从国家高考恢复地理科目、可持续发展战略的实施 ,以及前阶段高师地理教学改革所打下的基础等方面论述高师地理专业发展的当前机遇 .从明确目标、完善办学模式和教学模式、完善课程设置的研究入手 。The writer expounds the present opportunity of the development of geography specialty in three aspects-the resuming of geographical subject from national college entrance examination, the implementation of sustainable development and the foundation which was made by the reforming in geography education during the last period. In order to make the goal rear, perfect the mode of school running and teaching, and to develop the research of the course, the writer present the development countermeasure of the geography specialty in teachers' universities.
