摘 要:通过现场听课、个别访谈、集体座谈等调研发现贵州民族地区农村小学英语教学的基本情况主要表现为:(1)师资力量严重不足、教师素质普遍偏低;(2)教学条件有限、硬件设施稀缺、教学方法单一;(3)教师教学任务繁重、用非所学、职称晋升压力大;(4)学生英语学习兴趣不浓、无法克服母语汉语和英语之间的交流障碍等。为克服我省民族地区农村小学英语教学的这些困难,从教学模式与方法、学生学习兴趣的培养、教师培训与教师自我提升等方面提出建议。Through field observation, individual interviews, group interviews, etc, the authors havefound that the main status of rural primary English teaching in ethnic areas of Guizhou is mainlymarked by the following aspects: (1) serious shortage of teachers and general low level of teachers"quality; (2) limited teaching conditions, scarce of hardware facilities and invariable teaching meth-ods; (3) arduous teaching task and heavy pressure of job promotion; (4) students are not interestedin Englishlearning and unable to overcome the communication barriers between native language andEnglish. To overcome these difficulties of rural primary English teaching in ethnic areas of Guizhou,the suggestions are presented by considering the perspectives of teaching modes and methods, cultiva-tion of students'learning interest, teacher training and teacher self - improvement.
