摘  要:学术英语是近年来大学英语转型时期的一个新的课程设计理念。东南大学自2008年起为大二的非英语专业学生开设了一般学术英语课程,即"项目研究课程"。在肯定了这几年教学成果的基础上,本文分析了目前该课程在教学中尚存在的诸如课时、小组学习、学生学术能力和英语表达能力以及教师教学水平和学术能力等方面的问题,并据此提出了相应的解决方案。本文旨在提高教学质量,为学术英语在大学基础教育阶段的推广和发展提供经验参考。English for Academic Purposes( EAP) has become a new course design concept in the transitional period of College English teaching recently. Based on the positive teaching effect of the pilot teaching of Research Project,as one of the EAP courses,for the new sophomores of non-English majors in short term in Southeast University since 2008,such problems of the teaching as limited course hours,deficient cooperative learning,students' weak academic competence in thinking,expressing and writing,and teachers' traditional teaching mode have been exposed and discussed. And the suggested countermeasures like:increase course hours or lengthen course circle,cultivate group culture to strengthen cooperative learning,offer the continuous EAP courses in freshman and sophomore years and shift the teachers' role in the courses,have been fully presented,aiming to enhance the effective teaching of Research Project and provide some referential experience for the improvement and promotion of EAP in the foundation phase of higher education.
