Vocational School Students' and Secondary School Students' Peer Acceptance and Its Relationship with Their Academic Performance

摘  要:采用班级同伴提名的方法,考察了663名职校生和普通高中生的同伴接受性及其与学业成绩的关系。结果显示:(1)职校生的被提名率显著低于普高生,不论职校生还是普高生,女生得到更多的喜欢提名,而男生则得到更高的不喜欢提名。(2)从对异性的提名来看,他们都更多地提名喜欢同性同学、更少提名喜欢异性,但在不喜欢提名上,他们对异性和同性的提名非常接近,其中普高男生不喜欢异性的提名显著低于同性,而普高女生则相反。对异性提名的进一步分析显示,职校男生较女生更多地提名喜欢异性同学,而普高女生较男生更多地提名喜欢异性;职校和普高女生提名不喜欢异性同学的频次都远高于男生提的,尤以普高女生为甚。(3)不论是职校生还是普高生,被提名喜欢的学生的成绩显著高于被提名不喜欢的学生;尽管男女生提名不喜欢的同学的成绩差异不明显,女生提名喜欢的同学,其成绩显著高于男生提的。在每人6次提名机会的情况下,有两成左右的学生无人提及,其成绩近乎最差;两成多受欢迎型的成绩近乎最高;有争议的普高生成绩高于平均水平,而职校生则低于平均水平;受拒斥普高生成绩接近最差水平,而受拒斥职校生接近平均水平。让人惊讶的是,得到最少提名(但不能无人提名,约占三成)的学生成绩相当不错,高于平均水平约0.3个标准差。这些结果对于当前青少年的社会交往与学习都具有重要启示。This study, based on a survey of 663 students beth at vocational schools and secondary schools by means of nomination by peers in a classroom, aims to explore the relationship between peer acceptance and academic performance. The results show the following: (1) There were significantly less vocational school students nominated; among those students at beth vocational schools and secondary schools, the girls obtained more nominations; (2) the opposite sex obtained less nominations, but the opposite sex and the same sex obtained nearly the same nominations, with the secondary school boys nominating less peers in the opposite sex they disliked; ac- cording to a further analysis of the nomination of the opposite sex, the boys at vocational schools nominated more girls they liked, and the girls at secondary schools nominated more boys they liked; the girls at beth vocational schools and secondary schools, typically those girls at secondary schools, showed a higher frequency of nominat- ing the boys they disliked than the boys; and (3) among the students at both vocational schools and secondary schools, those nominated and liked had better academic performance; those nominated and disliked showed no significant difference in their academic performance, but those nominated and liked by the girls had better aca- demic performance; when each student was allowed to nominate on 6 occasions, about 20 percent of the students were not nominated, showing nearly the worst academic performance; about 20 percent of the students who were nominated and popular with the other students showed nearly the best academic performance; the controversial secondary school students showed academic performance above the average, and the controversial vocational school students showed academic performance below the average; the rejected secondary school students had nearly the worst academic performance, and the rejected vocational school students had nearly the average academic performance; surprisingly, the student
