摘  要:对于英语教学来说,翻译能力是检验教学质量和学习成效的一项重要指标,是实质性的教学目的之一。口头翻译、文字翻译、英汉互译的能力,是英语的应用能力的实际构成,是语言表达能力和沟通能力的实际体现。翻译能力,不仅仅是外语应用能力最实际的体现,也是英语教学和英语学习中最能动的要素。翻译教学的地位应该得到真正的提升。教学管理部门应当围绕公共英语的翻译教学而提出要求,制定措施,将改进英语翻译教学纳入教学改革;应当对教师进行翻译素养和翻译教学能力的培训。翻译教学要以学生为中心转变教学模式,以“教师角色替代”等灵活多样的方式方法调动学生学习的参与性、主动性。翻译教学应适度展开英汉对比分析,加强对学生文化背景知识的传授,培养学生的文化素养。For English teaching,translation competence is an important indicator of teaching quality and learning effectiveness,as well as one of the substantive teaching purposes.The ability of oral translation,literal translation and English-Chinese translation is the actual composition of English application ability and the practical embodiment of language expression and communication ability.Translation competence is not only the most practical embodiment of foreign language application ability,but also the most dynamic element in English teaching and learning.The status of translation teaching should be really promoted.The teaching management departments should make demands around the translation teaching of public English and formulate measures to bring the improvement of English translation teaching into the teaching reform;teachers should be trained in translation literacy and translation teaching ability;translation teaching should take the students as the center to change the teaching mode,and mobilize the students participation and initiative by flexible methods such as“teacher role substitution”.Translation teaching should carry out a contrastive analysis between English and Chinese,strengthen the teaching of students cultural background knowledge,and cultivate students cultural literacy.
