摘  要:杜威的大学教育观是其实用主义教育思想的重要组成部分。杜威的大学教育著述有两个特点:一是题材广泛,二是论及的主题不少与其工作经历有关。杜威的大学教育观主要体现在他对大学的功能、大学与社会的联系、大学的通识教育、大学教育学科的发展和教育学院的价值等方面的论述中。杜威的大学教育观给我们的启示是:现代大学依然是代表真理和光明之场所,现代大学教育必须密切联系社会生活,大学的专业教育和通识教育缺一不可,经典著作的学习应当联系实际挖掘其现代意义,大学应当重视教育学科和教育学院的建设和发展,“教育史”课程应当成为所有师范专业学生的必修课。John Dewey’s view of university education is the important part of his educational thoughts about pragmatism. Dewey's works on university education have two characteristics: one is that they have a wide range of subjects, and the other is that many of the topics discussed are related to his work experience. Dewey's outlook on university education is mainly embodied in his expositions on the functions of universities, the links between universities and society, general education of universities, the development of university education disciplines and the value of educational colleges. The enlightenment of Dewey's views of university education is that modern university is the place of truth and light. Modern university education must be closely related to social life. Professional education and general education are indispensable. The study of classical works should be combined with practice to tap its modern significance, and we should attach importance to pedagogical subjects and teaching. In the construction and development of educational institutes, the course "History of Education" should become a compulsory course for all students in education major.
