摘　　要：语言与思维紧密联系,人的思维能力具有可教性。语言学习能够发展大学生思维能力,丰富思维方式。结合英语语言特点,专门用途英语学习在培养和发展大学生的概括、转换、批判、对比与分析等思维能力方面都发挥着积极的作用。Language and thinking are closely linked.Language learning can develop the ability of thinking and enrich the ways of thinking.Human's ability to think is teachable.Combined with the characteristics of English language and with the proper teaching design of teachers,ESP will play a positive role in cultivating and developing college students'ability to generalize,transform,criticize,compare,contrast and analyze.
