翻译美学视角下《伤寒论》重言词英译方法对比探究  

A Comparative Research on the English Translation Methods of Reduplications in Shāng Hán Lùn from the Perspective of Translation Aesthetics

摘　　要：选取《伤寒论》中4个重要的重言词作为研究对象,以翻译美学为理论框架,对比分析魏迺杰译本Shāng Hán Lùn(On Cold Damage)、罗希文译本Treatise on Febrile Disease Caused by Cold(Shang Han Lun)、李照国译本On Cold Damage中重言词的不同英译方法,剖析译者的翻译审美心理机制,阐释翻译审美再现的过程。魏迺杰译本和李照国译本善于采用直译法和增译法使译文在形式和内容上与原文传达的审美信息保持基本一致,罗希文译本善于采用意译法使译文更符合目的语读者语言习惯的审美要求。对于具有相似逻辑关系的重言词,魏迺杰译本采用合译法使译文实现缩其“形”、表其“意”的简洁效果。为实现重言词韵律和蕴涵的美学再现,译者要准确地把握重言词的审美信息,客观地进行审美判断,合理运用省译法,最大限度地实现重言词原文和译文的翻译对等。With translation aesthetics as theoretical framework,this paper selected 4 reduplications as research object and analyzed three translators'aesthetic psychological mechanism in translation and explained the process of aesthetic representation by comparing translation methods of reduplications in Shāng Hán Lùn(On Cold Damage)translated by Nigel Wiseman,Treatise on Febrile Disease Caused by Cold(Shang Han Lun)translated by LUO Xiwen and On Cold Damage translated by LI Zhaoguo.Nigel Wiseman and LI Zhaoguo adopted literal translation and additional translation to keep the form and content of the translated text basically consistent with the aesthetic information conveyed by the original text.LUO Xiwen adopted free translation to make the translation meet aesthetic requirements of the target readers'language habits.For the reduplications with similar logical relations,Nigel Wiseman adopted the combined translation method to achieve the concise effect by reducing the"form"and expressing the"meaning"of the translation.In order to realize the aesthetic representation of the rhythm and implication of the reduplications,translators should accurately grasp the aesthetic information of reduplications,objectively make aesthetic judgments,reasonably make use of omission in translation and maximize the translation equivalence between the original text and the translated text.
