关于英语语法教学地位的再思考

摘　　要：在我国英语教学的历史上 ,既有过过分强调语法教学的时期 ,又有过忽视语法教学的时期。两种做法都带来了不良的后果。为了改变这一现状 ,应重新审视语法教学的作用 ,重新给语法教学确定一个恰当的地位。In the history of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), there was a period of grammar-dominance and a period of degrammarization. Both types of practice have proved unsatisfactory. The present paper urges a proper position for the teaching of grammar and also points out that, in TEFL, methods for grammar teaching should vary with the demands that learners of different majors are supposed to meet.
