文体学对文学作品英译汉的一个挑战——从《古舟子咏》的动词时态和名词大写谈起

摘　　要：英语文体学研究文学作品文字层面的文字大写和语法层面的时态,英国浪漫主义诗人柯勒律治的<古舟子咏>中出现了这两个项目的变异.解读这些变异得出的结论,是该诗歌的道德寓意由此被推向绝对真理的境地.但由于汉语语言在这两个项目上的空缺,造成原诗所负载的这些信息在译成汉语时失落.译者若承认其价值,接受这一挑战,为此所可能采用的各种表现手段都应得到允许和理解.时代的发展、认知方式的改进、对文学作品的解读和阐释的更新,这一切呼唤新的翻译文本出现.The English stylistics studies the capitalization on lexical level and tense on grammatical level. The variations of these two items can be seen in The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, a famous long poem by Samuel Tailor Coleridege. Studying such variations, one can come to a conclusion that the implied moral meaning of the poem is being pushed onto the maximum truth. But the absence of the two items in the Chinese language leads to the failure of the information in the Chinese translation. If the value of the information is confessed, the translator is meeting a challenge. Different means may be used to make up the absence, which should be admitted and understood. The development of the times the improvement of recognition approach and, the renewal of the contents of studying and interpreting literary texts all calls for new texts of the Chinese translation.
