摘　　要：浙江省本科院校英语师资在总体比较理想的东部沿海地区,其学历、职称和年龄普遍较低,大学英语和英语专业师资之间存在较大的差距。地方性院校的师资难以达到本科院校的评估指标。为了更好地改善英语师资水平,教育管理部门应制定师资发展目标,提高学历水平,完善职称评审制度,重视学术队伍的建设,开展多媒体教学来提高教师综合素质,提高教学质量。The English teachers of the undergraduate colleges in eastern coastal Zhejiang, are overall younger and of lower academic degree and tides. Great differences exist between the faculty structure of English majors and non - English majors, while the English teachers of the local undergraduate colleges cannot fulfill the evaluation standards. In order to improve English teachers＇level, the education administration department should formulate the teachers＇ developing goals, raise the academic degree, perfect title appraisal system, emphasize the construction of the academic groups, develop the multimedia teaching approaches, so as to ensure and raise the quality of English teaching.
