摘　　要：新课程背景下英语教师继续教育课程建设的现状及课程设置的原则决定了多层次、模块化、个性化的继续教育教学内容是英语教师继续教育课程建设基础,符合目前英语教学的发展变化。而优化的课程体系和有效的实施途径是构建形式多样、可持续发展的英语教师继续教育体系的质量保障。The principles of course construction and current research has determined that the multilayer, modularized and personalized teaching contents would lay the foundation for further education of English teachers in secondary schools, and in accordance with actual conditions of middle school English teaching. The optimized course system with its effective performing approaches will guarantee the quality of a systematic, multiform and sustainable further education system for English teachers in middle schools.
