摘　　要：许多应用型本科院校英语教学存在重视语言知识传授、语言技能培养不足,重视教师教、忽视学生学,重视专业教学、忽视全面育人等问题,与应用型人才培养目标相背离。教学管理部门要增强语言教学服务意识,英语教师要增扩语言教学功效,既要教好书,更要育好人。Some problems of English teaching exist in application-oriented colleges,such as insufficient training for language skills,laying particular stress on profession and teachers,and neglecting the students,which is deviation from the training objective of applied talents.Therefore,the teaching management departments should improve the consciousness of teaching and service of the language;and the teachers should develop the effect of language teaching so as to teach and educate well.
