摘　　要：在信息化和全球化时代,英语教育引起了世界各国的普遍关注。本文介绍了新加坡普通课程班英语教师对教科书的使用情况,总结了教科书使用的特点,并从中吸取了有益的经验:1.教师、学生、教科书三者关系的处理;2.教师信念对教科书使用的影响;3.教学法的改革;4.考试问题。通过上述思考,希望可以改善我国教科书使用效果,提高我国初中英语教学质量。In the epoch of informatization and globalization, English education has received worldwide attention. By introducing the use of textbooks for English teaching in the upper secondary normal class- room in Singapore, the authors try to sum up the features of textbooks utilization and conclude the follow- ing useful implications： 1. how to deal with the relationship among teachers, students and textbooks; 2. the influence of teachers＇ beliefs on the use of textbooks; 3. the reform of teaching methodology; 4. the prob- lem of examinations. Through the discussion of the above questions, this paper aims to improve the use of English textbooks so as to enhance the quality of English teaching in middle school.
