摘　　要：介绍了数学实验的由来和兴起 ,指出了高校开设数学实验课的目的和作用 ,探讨了数学实验课与传统数学课的不同之处 ,最后从以注重知识传授向注重能力培养的转移和当代社会对人才的数学素质和能力的要求两方面 。This paper introduces the origin of experimental mathematics and the purpose of offering a course in mathematical experimentation, then discusses the differences between experimental mathematics course and general mathematics course. Finally, it expounds the practical significance of offering mathematical experimentation course in college, from the point of view that higher education should pay more attention to develop the students′ capacity than to teach the students knolwedge,and the capacity and the mathematical quality of a talented person is demanded in the present society.
