摘　　要：随着全球化和文化交流的不断增加,将中华传统文化的丰富性和深度准确翻译成英语成为时代发展的要求,具有历史必然性,利于文化的传承保护,有助于增强跨文化理解,促进文化融合所带来的文化创新。中华文化汉译英工作也面临诸多挑战,如语言文化差异(包括语音系统、文化历史背景、价值观等)及传达文化细微差别和象征意义等。许多中华传统文化表达都带有特定的含义,英语中没有直接的等效项,因此,译者需要灵活运用翻译策略,如直译、意译、文化适应、音译等,以将中华文化的特定含义完整传递给英文读者。With the ongoing process of globalization and cultural exchange,it has become not only a necessity of our time but also a historical imperative to accurately translate the richness of traditional Chinese culture into English.This endeavor contributes to the preservation and safeguarding of culture,fosters cross-cultural understanding,and facilitates cultural innovation resulting from integration.However,translating Chinese culture into English poses several challenges,including linguistic and cultural disparities such as phonetic systems,historical backgrounds,and values.It also involves conveying subtle cultural nuances and symbolism.Many Chinese cultural expressions carry specific meanings that lack direct equivalents in English.Therefore,flexible translation strategies must be employed,including literal translation,free translation,cultural adaptation,and transliteration.Literal translation aims to maintain both the"meaning"and"form"of the two languages,while cultural adaptation emphasizes the significance of cultural comprehension and adjustment.
