摘　　要：1引言 对于直接积分二阶常微分方程的初值问题The linear multistep methods with a parameter for solving initial value problems of second order ordinary differential equations y' = g(x, y) presented in [21] by the auther are P-stable and possess shape-preserving property. In this paper it will be theoretically proved, that for any positive integer k > 2, both the consistency-order and convergence-order of the k-step methods is k when it is explicit, arid it is k + 1 for being implicit.
