异化归化是翻译方法吗?——与王建国先生商榷

摘　　要：本文通过对异化归化、直译意译这两对概念的理论溯源,以具体事实为例,证明异化归化与直译意译不是属于同一范畴,直译意译是翻译方法,但异化归化确为翻译策略,并且异化不等于直译,归化不等于意译。This paper, by tracing to the source of the theories concerning the two concepts of foreignizing and domesticating translation and literal and free translation, illustrates and proves： literal translation and free translation are translation methods; foreignizing translation and domesticating translation belong to translation strategies; foreignizing translation doesn＇t equal to literal translation; domesticating translation doesn＇t equal to free translation.
